Rocky® H.A.M. GORE-TEX® Waterproof Insulated PR Met Guard Miner Boots have all the safety and comfort features you need to work in a mine.
There are many details in Hard. Ass. Miner. boots to protect you on the job. The boots have a metatarsal guard, are puncture-resistant with a Lenzi plate, have a steel toe that meets ASTM standards for impact and compression, and meet standards for electrical hazard. These also are high-visibility boots, helping make others aware of where you are in dark working conditions.
Rocky also gives you the Vibram® Montagna outsole with wide outer lugs for confidence in traction and braking on steep inclines and rocky terrain.
Now, let's talk comfort. First, make sure your feet are warm and dry. These work boots are made with GORE-TEX®, known for being waterproof, breathable and durable. Rocky added to that 400 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation for warmth in cold, damp and dank situations.
While that might be enough for some footwear manufacturers, Rocky knows work boots should be really comfortable. You're walking, standing and moving all day, so your boots need to keep up. Inside, the Air-Port™ Cushion footbed circulates air with every step. It will never break down or lose its shape. Topping off comfort, Rocky added padding to the ankle where the top of your boots would otherwise rub your ankle or shin.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.
Insulated
Traditional insulation - typically felt or polyfill material offers a thermal barrier without the added benefits of premium insulations.
